Hi Fluffs-n-Tuffers,
I hope you are all well and enjoying the warmer Spring weather! We are so grateful for the first rainfall last night, it’s finally time for the dust to settle and everything to start growing again.
We are constantly upgrading things in the kennels and their surroundings. Some of the upgrades are due to necessity and some of them are for fun.
We are making big changes to our security systems as it becomes more and more of an item with the current situation in our country. Thanks to Owen, the guy who does everything :), we are busy putting in an identification system for entry onto the property at Sangster. You can choose to have your fingerprint identification put into the system or you can get a once-off purchase entry card for R100. These cards need to be kept safe. This will make your entry into the kennels much quicker and easier. The entry gate will be set to close after each entry, so please do not tailgate. As you enter the siren will sound and this will alert the kennel hands that you have entered the property.
The gates at Sangster Rd will lock automatically at 18:00 on weekdays and 17:00 on weekends and public holidays. This is again for security. If you are within 15 - 20 minutes late, a R100 penalty fee will apply which is payable by cash or card before handing your pet over. Should you be more than 20 minutes late, the kennel hands will need to put your dogs into boarding for the night. I hope you all understand the necessity for this move, it is for your safety and the safety of all our dogs and staff.
We are adding another play area for the dogs on the side of the kennels nearest to the highway: a water park with fun activities for the dogs and their humans! There will be a minimal entry fee to use this facility. Some of the older kennel runs are being upgraded and will be ready for your dog's year-end holiday with us.
Please remember to book early for December for your dogs, cats, bunnies and birds. All vaccinations need to be up to date, including Kennel Cough for the dogs and Snuffles for the kitties. Tick and Flea treatment and deworming must also be done before bringing your furries in. The cattery at Devonshire Ave is already 75% full and the dogs at Sangster Rd are adding up fast. Please, please don’t leave your bookings to the last minute as we may not be able to assist you no matter how much we would like to. All our bookings are done online, allowing you to book at any time during the day or night. Go to https://attgroup.co.za and if you haven’t already registered, do that first, get your password and then you can book straight away. If you have any problems with your booking, contact the office, and we will help you through the initial process.
We have joined with Coffee Monster and if you would like to order coffee on the go from 08:45 - 15:30 download the app and then place your order. We will have your coffee ready for you when you drop off or collect your dogs or when you are simply driving past. You can also order muffins, toasted sandwiches, other drinks etc. You will see the Coffee Monster Pick up spot when you enter the property.
During September we hosted Happy Yappers Rescue Adoption day and to our and their delight 12 puppies were adopted and there were enquiries for quite a few weeks after the event. Hopefully we will be able to host another day for them soon. If you know of any other reputable rescue organisations that would like to make use of the facilities please let us know.
Our newsletters will no longer be sent out, but we will still keep you up to date by publishing our newsletters on our website and Facebook pages. All our courses and important information can be found on the website, so keep checking in.
Wishing you all a safe, healthy and happy last 3 months of 2021.
Kind Regards
All at Fluffs-n-Tufts.
